About Chris Kinnear

I have a lifelong passion for maps and how we can visualise information. I’ve always loved how a great map can reveal everything from the distribution of an endangered species to the exact location and health of housing assets.

My data journey began during my undergraduate degree in Wildlife Conservation, where I was fortunate to study elephants on a game reserve in South Africa. It was there that I first discovered the power of GIS, data analysis, and effective monitoring. Since then, I have applied these principles across a myriad of data-heavy industries, which include: conservation, utilities, transport, telecoms, and social housing. Along the way I have learned the unique quirks and data structures of each.

I founded Kinnear Analytics because I believe that in any organisation, every decision matters. Today, I combine my technical analytical background with my training as a UK geography teacher to help housing providers overcome their data challenges. I don't just teach theory or hand over complex spreadsheets; I work directly with your teams to transform complex housing data into strategic clarity.
